Early Intervention Program (404) 657-2727

Provides Services for Children from Birth until their Third Birthday under Part C. If you have any reason to believe your child has a delay (Autism or otherwise) or need for help, please call. Their services are free regardless of your financial situation.

The Atlanta Asperger Syndrome Resource/Support Group

Their mission is to help parents in the metro Atlanta area locate resources and information to fully support their children's special needs.   In addition to children with an Asperger's diagnosis, they target children with normal to higher than normal intelligence, reasonable verbal skills, but who still face autistic spectrum issues, particularly social skills deficits, behavioral difficulties, and sensory integration problems.

Parent Training and Information Center

If you have difficulty navigating the systems designed to provide your child services, you are not alone.  Parent Training and Information (aka Parent Resource) Centers are another Federally Mandated part of the system.  In many states they are staffed solely by family members of folks with disabilities, and offer training and support on issues related to Special Education.
